Oneonta Montessori, located in Alhambra, CA, is a private school with over 200 kids in preschool through sixth grade. Until Easy Cloud Solutions got involved, the teachers would print out individual packets (10-20 pages) for each student and all communications were done via small handouts (which the parents would lose from time to time). So simple things like notifying parents of an upcoming birthday lunch (and hence, no need to bring lunches) was no small feat.
Also, because they didn’t have a school-wide email system, the teachers were reluctant to give out their personal email addresses. This meant that phone and face-to-face were the only forms of communications.
Easy Cloud Solutions moved all 20 teachers and administrators to Google Apps and created a WordPress site for the school. These new technology platforms instantly created additional communication outlets between the parents and the teachers/administration. Google Apps Calendar also enabled internal teachers and administrators to better manage public school-wide events as well as internal schedules.
Furthermore, there was an immediate boost in efficiency because the teachers no longer had to copy/print and assemble the weekly homework sets, and instead, a single person was assigned to scan and upload the homework to the site. Because the URL of the new WordPress site was choosen with keywords in mind, the Search Engine Optimization (SEO) resulted in a higher volume of inquiries from potential parents and, as a result, increased revenue.
