Install Microsoft Web Platform to run a local instance of wordpress.org

If you want to play around with wordpress, you will have to use wordpress.org instead of wordpress.com.  The fastest way to install wordpress.org is to first install Microsoft Web Platform then select “WordPress” as an option.  This Web Platform installer by Microsoft is the simplest and fastest way to install wordpress and all of its dependencies so that you can play around with wordpress locally.
